DAY 1
9:00am-10:30am
Begin your day at Lehman's Hardware where Amish farmers shop for cookware, tools, non-electric lights, crockery, logs and gas refrigerators. You can too!! Don't forget the shops at Millstream Plaza behind Lehman's.
11:00am-12:30pm
No visit is complete without a stop at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC), the Ohio State University. (The largest research institute of its kind in the U.S.) The Secrest Arboretum is located on 85 acres of rolling land and offers both the flora researcher and the plant enthusiast more than 2,000 species, varieties and cultivators of trees and shrubs for evaluation and viewing. The famous rose garden is a unique 2.7 acre garden featuring a collection of 1,500 plants representing 500 varieties of roses of antiquity, legend and romance.

Hartzler Dairy & Ice Cream Shoppe - old fashioned ice cream and cream-top milk in glass bottles are produced on premises at Hartzler Dairy. Learn about the Hartzler's history, our products and processing plant. Come and enjoy great hospitality and a trip down memory lane as well as a single dip cone for dessert.
3:30pm-4:30pm
Visit Wolf Creek Environmental Education Center. See a 4.5 acre wetland habitat and learn about the Medina County Park system and all they can offer.
4:45pm-5:30pm
Stop by Boyert's Greenhouse and enjoy a plant demonstration. Stroll through the greenhouse and gift shop. Everyone will receive a small plant.
6:00pm-7:00pm
Dinner at one of the many fine restaurants.
Day 2
9:00am-9:30am
Enjoy a healthy muffin and coffee at Cool Beans Cafe'.
10:00am-11:00am
Your next stop is Mapleside Farms where "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Tour the Apple House and enjoy your glass of cider.
11:45am-1:30pm
Tour the spectacular, restored Lakeview Park and Rose Garden in Lorain. Lunch at the Rose Cafe' with stunning views of Lake Erie and the Lorain Lighthouse.
1:30pm-3:30pm
Take a shuttle boat to tour the Lorain Lighthouse. Learn the history of the lighthouse as you view the on-going restoration process (weather permitting).
4:00pm-5:00pm
Tour the historic Amherst Sandstone Village. Amherst is known as the Sandstone Capital of the World. You will see the Grange Hill, St. George's Chapel and octagonal barn, and the Quigley Museum which displays local history collected by the Historical Society. Don't miss the Art Gallery featuring unique items by Artist in Residence, Neal Jenne.
