Start your day at the Oberlin Heritage Center. Tour the Shurtleff/Monroe House-home of two noted abolitionists, The Little Red Schoolhouse-Oberlin's first public, integrated school. Tour the Jewett House-listed on National Register of Historic Places. The tour also includes an exhibit on the development of aluminum.
10:30am-12:00pm
Take a driving tour of Oberlin as you view monuments, parks and homes significant to the Underground Railroad. Includes stops at the Underground Railroad Sculpture, Martin Luther King Jr. Park, and an optional stop to view Oberlin's Underground Railroad quilt.
12:00pm-1:00pm
Enjoy lunch at the Garden Restaurant at the Oberlin Inn that overlooks the picturesque Tappan Square.
1:00pm-2:30pm
Tour the Allen Memorial Art Museum, one of the top five college/university collections in the United States, comprised of more than 12,000 works of art from virtually every culture and spanning the history of art.
3:00pm-4:00pm
Shop at Days of Yore Herb and Flower Farm, a unique home & garden boutique located in a renovated "Turn of the Century Barn" surrounded by beautiful gardens.
4:00pm-5:30pm
Tour Bonnie Brae Elk Farm. What began in 1886 as a horse training facility is now a bustling elk farm. Take a wagon ride to hand feed elk. Time your visit to enjoy the Farm Art Festival, Ohio Quilt Festival, Bugle Days, or Christmas on the Farm.
